Review of What Dreams May Come (1998) by Brett H — 24 Aug 2014
Simply put, one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen with unforgettable imagery and imagination! Robin Williams' heartbreaking performance as a man surrounded by death (even in the afterlife) is tender and uplifting as only he could lend credibility to the material.
The story is very sad, yet hopeful and if you've ever experienced true love before, you'll connect with it instantly. It goes to some truly dark and memorable places in the final act and the interpretation of Hell is something I will never forget.
It's a very unconventional film and I applaud it for taking risks and it's gorgeous effects astound me! I love this film and do not understand the hate.
