Review of What About Bob? (1991) by Carol F — 20 Jan 2011
Predictable, formulaic, cruel, completely lacking in believability and worst of all - not that funny. The only thing that makes What About Bob somewhat memorable and even entertaining is excellent performances from both Murray and Dreyfuss; the problem is that the script gives the viewer no chance of sympathizing with either one.
We end up hating both of them, and even more so Dreyfuss's family which is just plain unbelievably dumb.
