Review of What a Girl Wants (2003) by Cara R — 10 Feb 2011
Daphne is a girl who leaves one day without warning her mother to go to England to meet her father. He takes her in for the summer, but she wreaks havoc on propriety. Ian tries to help her along, but she begins to put her duty as "Lord Dashwood's daughter" before herself.
Henry, at the meantime, is rediscovering fun (which, I agree with the summary, is the best part of the movie). Daphne ends up pushing Ian away, she makes her choice, and Henry is left to make his. Predictable but fun.
Based on the story "The Reluctant Débutante" which was later a 1958 film with the same name.
