Review of What a Girl Wants (2003) by Red L — 17 Aug 2012
Boring, predictable and utterly insulting and very outdated view of British aristocracy and so loosely based on the Reluctant Debutante they might have well of not bothered . It could have been a realistic view of a man meeting the daughter new never knew but instead it's some unrealistic underdog story with so much stereotypical views of England.
Why not base it instead in America when Debutantes are still going? Would have been less offensive. Not a good film but the acting from Colin Firth and Amanda Bynes was okay. Good for anyone under the age of 10.
