Pai wants to learn the ways of being the chief of their tribe along with the boys but her grandfather doesn't want her to just because she is a girl. She still loves his grandfather despite their disagreements.
This film of spirituality and empowerment is a uplifting, tearjerking and powerful masterpiece with memorable scenes, beautiful sights and lovable characters. The last scenes will more or less bring most of its audience to tears.
