An excelent modern day movie. it touches on family, spirituality, race/sex, respect and heritage. this movie doesn't need any action, special effects and build on just pure human relationship and drama.
that alone is enuff and carries the audience into a world that they can relate to. the girl is young but absolutely amazing - youngest ever oscar actres for an actress (supporting role? might as well be the main role).
i've recommended this movie to many and they usually didnt expect much but always come out surprisingly pleased.
