Review of Whale Rider (2003) by John O — 20 Apr 2008
This is one of my favorite films of this decade so far. It is tremendously well acted, led by the amazing debut of Keisha Castle-Hughes, who I had the pleasure of briefly meeting at the 2004 Spirit Awards.
This also has a well written great story which combines legend & modern times & how they fit togther. This film has several messages to me, my favorite being be careful how you treat people, they may be here to save you.
