Review of Wet Hot American Summer (2001) by Jennifer T — 29 Apr 2012
This movie has a cult status. That is why it is 82% audience rated on RT. However, with all the talent in this film (Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, etc) it should have been so much more. It is awkward funny.
From the director of Role Models, funny, and Wanderlust, not funny. Reminds me of the latter. Funny joke that goes on an hour too long. If you saw all the camp movies of the 80's, or went to camp, though, it does have some moments you will say, "Oh yeah, that is pretty right on," but, otherwise, kind of lame.
