Review of Wet Hot American Summer (2001) by Jeffrey Rex B — 02 Jul 2015
As with all comedies, the humor is subjective. I've heard this movie called dumb, crude, and full of non sequitur; all I can say is that I thought it was funny. As someone who can relate to some of the material; Wet Hot American Summer is a movie about the flawed priorities of teenagers and the immoral behaviors that occur during summer because there is no perceived consequences.
If nothing else, this movie replicates the feeling of Summer and the reckless attitude it brings with it, for better or for worse.
