Review of Westworld (1973) by Josh K — 20 Oct 2007
It's Jurassic Park, but with cowboys and other assorted android men. Except this one actually came first. Michael Crichton directed it, and while he's a good idea man, the man's filmmaking style is pretty flat.
It's somewhat cheesy and dated, but Yul Brenner as a robot is actually pretty scary. And obviously, the concept is an interesting one that the author would revisit to greater effect a couple decades later.
