Review of Westward the Women (1951) by Dane M — 11 Jun 2015
Unusual for its great scenes of silences. No one speaks. That's right. No gussied up music, no chit chat, just the action of observation. The acting is solid. The set is real. And the story is wholly believable and un believable.
I gasped at the chances the writer, Charles Schnee, took. No one today would forgive him for the brutality of lost souls. This is perfect for a dull Sunday before heading to the pool (or igloo mall in the winter).
