I've seen this performed by a drama class on stage, and have heard it referenced so many times. But I finally got around to seeing this award sweeping musical, and it is a very good one.
In another adaptation of Romeo Juliet, it tells the story of rival gangs and a forbidden love. Natalie Wood is not even Puerto Rican but I didn't even notice it was her until halfway through the film. She did a very good job.
Filled with crazy energetic musical numbers and memorable songs, West Side Story is an excellent mix of music and drama.
