Review of West Side Story (1961) by Josh F — 03 Jul 2013
One of the great classic musicals that takes Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet to New York and makes the drama about gang rivalry. The songs are catchy, the dancing is amazing, and the choreography is a sight to behold.
The film can be a little corny and I feel they could've casted stronger leads, but it works as a time capsule film and it earns it's 10 oscars.
