Review of West of Memphis (2012) by Dodd A — 13 Aug 2013
What makes West of Memphis so convincing is not the involvement of manipulative blowhards, but clear and present evidence. Not only does it cover the innocence of the West Memphis Three, but it clearly proves who the real killer is.
At this point there is a genre shift into horror knowing that the real guilty party is still among us. It is one of those rare documentaries that seems too shocking to be true which, in my opinion, is the best kind.
