Review of Werewolf of London (1935) by Peter H — 08 Apr 2010
Werewolf of london is the first werewolf movie ever made however due to the 1941 lon chaney jr classic this brilliant film is over shadowed by that film. the main reason is due to Chaneys mereoble portayal of an average man with the curse of the wolf and Jack pearice was allowed to use his full master make up skills in that film , in the were wolf of london most of henry hulls face was showen unlike chaney jr how was in full make up.
Plot wise its quite imagivte how an english botanist hunts for a rare flower in the moutains of Tibet, then is biten by a werewolf and at the first slight of the full moon he becomes a werewolf. However hulls character is told by a mysteroius botainst that the flower would save two souls from the curse.
8/10 the reason I havent rated it higher was due to the bizzare dialouge but that been said its a masterpieace of the werewolf genere.
