Review of Were the World Mine (2008) by Michael N — 03 Dec 2008
Ugh. it's a gay version of "teen witch," and somehow "teen witch" is still the gayer film. the problem here is that the film and it's characters are disposable. I have no idea what motivates most of the people in the movie.
it's just underdeveloped. and fortunately, all the musical numbers are so good that it's easy to forget all the issues. but sadly, there aren't enough musical moments to make it all work. it's sometimes really pretty.
it's sometimes really dull looking. it feels like two different people made the movie and they weren't on the same page.
