Very good, almost great. there were big holes and a lot of unnecessary weirdness (magical english teacher powers???) but I LOVED all the musical numbers and the fantastical nature of the premise. I will also say that I have yet to see a high school play in a movie with any realistic production values.
this one employed a "singing in the rain" sprinkler system and many many (ridiculous) wigs. but see it. if you are gay. or if you like musicals. or if you like gays. or if you are an english teacher.
or a fan of shakespearean adaptations. or wigs. or glitter. or rugby.
