Review of Were the World Mine (2008) by Jacky L — 20 Dec 2010
Magical, modern version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Even though it was really heartfelt, it could have had more musical elements and songs to get the story really take off. Now the film felt a bit mixed and it didn't reach its full potential.
The twist in the middle certainly changed the whole movie but I could have lived without it. All the actors did a great job, especially Wendy Robie as lovely drama teacher and Tanner Cohen as a struggling boy with a big crush.
All and all "Were the world mine" is charming movie and worth watching.
