Review of We're the Millers (2013) by Facebook U — 18 Apr 2015
Wow! I thought I was going to watch a TV movie à la Disney. Not at all, in the extended dvd version anyway. The whole set up is the typical road movie where everyone ends up liking each other. That is what is was but I was surprised myself to start to like them and wishing they end up together.
The story is of course contrived and unlikely but the whole thing has a real life feel, including the luck some have. It is edgy in so many unexpected ways and this goes on and even get more concentrated toward the end.
I am happily surprised by the whole. Great acting that doesn't look it. It looks just real enough in the preposterous realm of film.
