Man, what a bad day she had! Oddly, as a character study, I felt totally neutral about Wendy. It's a story of consequences and rife with someone making horrible choices. The last choice of which redeemed it for me, though you never doubt her love for Lucy.
I'd add that it's a story about how easily one can fall through the cracks in our society, which is painful and disturbing to watch, but undoubtedly why it got such good support. Also, at 80 mins, it probably shouldn't be considered a feature, but whatevs.
