Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Adrienne F — 27 Feb 2009
Quietly devastating film that, with a very specific and small story, says so much about a society that leaves so many so profoundly alone, slipping unnoticed through the cracks. The film's only meaningful interpersonal encounter shows that the only ones who will reach out to help are themselves without the resources to do so.
Beautifully played and very timely.
