Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Meghan M — 29 Mar 2010
Beautifully done. The filmmakers have really shown life through Wendy's eyes, as if the camera is seeing what she sees at times. Very creative, and made me feel as though I was looking eagerly into each kennel at the dog pound with Wendy, or as the view went to a bird, (in and out of focus) just as we might look up at something, yet nothing when pondering a hard decision.
Maybe some of the best true life cinematography I've ever seen. Michelle Williams was amazing - maybe the best performance I've seen her in. It may seem slow moving at times, but this film's definitely worth it.
