Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Monica F — 19 May 2009

What I liked about this movie is that it never loses its focus. Wendy?s struggle to find her dog is deeper than just losing a pet. Lucy, the dog, is the only companion of Wendy in this world. We can see Wendy?s suffering and really connect with her pain while she tries to get her dog back, because we realize that Lucy is the only love she?s got.

I am glad we never really know what happened to Wendy in the past that has brought her to this miserable state in life, but the movie manages to make us feel her pain in a very quiet and subtle way. I did enjoy this movie.
