Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Paul P — 19 Jul 2009
It's really interesting seeing the path Katie Holmes went down after Dawson's Creek compared to Michelle Williams. Williams continues to take on tough projects and continues to shine in them. She's so fluid and natural I completely forgot it was her.
This story is so engrossing. Anyone who has had to battle through the last week of the month or simply adjust to life crapping on them can relate to Wendy. I thought this movie would exploit the dog for forced sympathy, not the case at all.
Dog lovers(include me in that group) it's safe to watch this. The release is perfect for the current "economic crisis" but this is a film that would've been relevant 20+ years ago and will probably still be 20+ years from now.
