Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Sabrina Augustine S — 26 Nov 2009
I think Williams does such a good job that the movie gets by on that alone. However, despite the impressive acting, I found myself feeling quite distant and did not care about any of the characters, and nothing held my attention really.
I am all for "slice-of-life" movies if done in a way that allows you access (in some manner) to their lives, but here, we have a girl who wants her dog back, and has just a tad bit of money (comparatively), and that's it.
If we learned anything else about her, or if we learned anything about the few other characters whom pop up, I sure do not remember.
