Beautifully animated with fantastic character designs. The story juggles many elements, some successfully, others are a bit clunky. There's plenty of jokes and gags, and there is a strong heart as well.
I'll take this kind of storytelling over the homogeneous pixar/disney/dreamworks stuff any day.
