I was skeptical about this movie at first - after all, how do you make an interesting, full-length movie from the punch line of one joke about the "red-neck" type people in Northern France?!!! But the movie was really quite fun.

It almost pokes more fun at the southerners - especially the main character who fakes being handicapped in the hopes of obtaining a transfer to the French Riviera, only to be discovered and sent, as "punishment" to "THE NORTH"!! The Southerners then refuse to believe that the North can be anything other than a frozen North Pole full of rednecks and alcoholics.

It was a very enjoyable, light movie to watch and the French accents were hilarious.
