Review of Welcome to the Rileys (2010) by Paul H — 09 Dec 2011
What I respect alot about this movie is it isn't a let's put Bella Swan in as many scenes as a stripper as we possibly can. There is depth to her character that, while I wish was explored in more detail really hit the right chords and once again proves that Kristen Stewart can hang given the right roles.
James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo both knock their roles out of the park and convey the emotion of losing a child very well. While the central relationship is between Gandolfini and Stewart when Leo shows up her arc with the young stipper feels more deep and meaningful and Melissa Leo rocks an all around more interesting character.
All in all the script is raw and real and shows that not everyone is beyond being saved.
