Review of Welcome to the Rileys (2010) by Denise O — 21 Jan 2012

Not really anything original-- basically your typical film festival entry film about broken people finding themselves through chance encounters and mismatched relationships. The cast does a fine job of keeping an all too familiar story slightly above water.

,. Some of the most touching moments coming from Melissa Leo.... Kristen Stewart playing the bad girl trying to make ends meet as she fights the need for acceptance being torn in directions of her own broken past and need for independence is interesting-- this is definitely not "Bella" as she is practically half naked most the film and spewing choice-words every few seconds.

.. Overall a bit slow... decent viewing... not bad, not great...
