Review of Welcome to the Punch (2013) by Jun Hao T — 28 Aug 2013
Mark Strong is good as usual, as the career criminal brought out of hiding to get to the bottom of what happened to his son. The story really focuses on McAvoy's cop who was severely injured by Strong and wants revenge but gets cut off at every turn.
Involve some very telegraphed plot developments and predictability that sinks this film. McAvoy's character is highly unlikable and when he asks Strong why he didn't just kill him, you wonder why too.
Some decent action sequences do not save this.
