Review of Welcome to the Dollhouse (1996) by Tanaya B — 17 Dec 2007

This movie was painful to watch. Not because it was bad but it was literally painful to watch this girl go through what she was going through. I really was hoping for something to rival all those stupid films about glorifying geeky boys but this girl was just pathetic from start to finish.

I could see what looked to be sparks of a great film but they soon were put out. Also a big turn off for me was that even though this story was about a girl, it seemed to be told from a male perspective.

It really could have used a woman's touch.
