I wish I'd seen this in middle school, when it came out. I...might not have been so depressed, knowing someone understood how awful middle school really is. Everyone is a caricature (the dweeb, cool older kids, annoying siblings, clueless adults), yet somehow, it felt all too real.

If you felt like you were suffocating in middle school, see this movie. I'd almost call it therapeutic. Puts some of those miserable years in some kind of perspective.
