Review of Welcome to the Dollhouse (1996) by Jason R — 25 Aug 2008
Dawn Weiner is such a great character (too bad what happened to her in Palindromes). Dawn isn't very likeable but you pity her at the same time. The sets, actors, and dialogue all work great with the style of storytelling.
The story is surreal but at the same time very realistic and does a great job summing up the themes in Dawn's talk with Mark near the end of the movie.
