Review of Welcome to the Dollhouse (1996) by Sean C — 10 Feb 2009

I'm rarely to movies where suburbia is shown as some cesspool of jealousy, hate, and other negative emotions. This film is no different save that it creates a suburbia that is almost unreal. Characters are totally unlikable and the world view is bleak to the point of annoyance.

Worst of all I didn't find funny, refreshing, or enlightening. It was like eating burnt toast.
