Todd Solondz is truly the evil twin of John Hughes. Both are SO good at characterisation that plots become irrelvant.
This film is an inky-black comedy that plays a lot like a darker Napoleon Dynamite. It's a stunning character-study - beautifully written, and absolutely recommended. To say more is to ruin it.
