Review of Welcome to Sarajevo (1997) by Benwomack — 31 Mar 2020
Dramatization of 1992-3 events in Bosnia.
Based on Natasha’s Story by Michael Nicholson.
The unsmiling Stephen Dillane character (author Michael Nicolson) adopts the orphaned girl Emira. a) I don't know, why this didn't, move me to tears-Dramatization of 1992-3 events in Bosnia.

The unsmiling Stephen Dillane character (author Michael Nicolson) adopts the orphaned girl Emira. a) I don't know, why this didn't, move me to tears- but it didn't.
B) it's possible, that ... it is all, so extreme. From the war, to the journalists covering it. So unfamiliar , to myself. That I simply (and this is my failing, not the movie's) did not have a character, who I could get into and sympathise with.
C) There were odd, flashes of youth (britpop soundtrack? or something) which felt, the director's life and not the story's, I think I remember rightly. Not a big problem.
Thank you.
