Review of Welcome to Mooseport (2004) by Allan C — 08 Dec 2012
Endearing enough of time-waster comedy about local boy Romano running for mayor against Mooseport's newest resident, former president Hackman. The two also compete for the affection of Maura Tierney.
It's a decent enough of a premiss of a comedy and they wisely make Hackman an affable character instead of making him an outright villain. However, you'll basically forget about the movie 30 seconds after it's over.
I actually just remembered I'd watched it earlier this week and remembered to write a review. One interesting factoid about the film, this is the last movie that Gene Hackman has appeared in. I kind of thought he would have gone out on a higher note.
