I don't care what anyone is saying-- Marwen was really great. I suppose it is a more complex story than the superhero movie du jour. The concept of "recovery" is really overly simplified, but many great works overly simplify complex issues for the sake of the greater narrative.

If you have ever created your own imaginative psychological construct to make life a little easier, then this film will ring with some truth for you. It isn't a perfect film, but it is definitely deserving more than it is currently getting.
