Review of Welcome to Collinwood (2002) by Derek B — 28 Jun 2009

The first 15-20 minutes looked familiar, as though maybe I'd watched this on the box then given up after the first ad break. Anyway I watched the whole thing, and it's entertaining enough, but not the sort of film that would stand up to repeat viewing at all.

Quite a droll cameo performance from George Clooney, and Luis Guzman is quite amusing, the rest of the cast are all likeable enough but not exactly stretched. I wondered if this was intended as some kind of retort to the smuggery of Oceans Eleven part 2, or Oceans Twelve, or whatever it's called.

It was better than that - at least I watched it thru to the end!
