Review of Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (2008) by Jordan T — 13 Mar 2009
Predictable comedy in every sense. Nothing special, and your usual Martin Lawrence effort. I can't say I laughed, I just kinda watched it. The serious aspect of the film was ultimately more intriguing, but wrapped up way too fast at the end.
A lot of names in here, but quality acts like James Earl Jones and Michael Clarke Duncan (both 3 named actors lol) are pushed aside for the likes of Mo'Nique and Mike Epps who are semi-entertaining, but only in small doses (don't try to make every line a punchline).
I'm sure a lot of people would like this and that's fine, but it has nothing new and it's not that funny to me.
