Review of Weirdsville (2007) by Ola G — 17 Mar 2008
This is a movie trying to be more than it is. Some sort of mish mash of "Trainspotting" and "Spun". The structure and storyline are not holding up and at moments the acting is not up to scratch.
Scott Speedman and Wes Bentley does give life to Dexter and Royce, while Taryn Manning should probably keep doing music and not act... Theres too many attempts of trying to be kooky crazy funny with a satanic cult who is more or less the brady bunch, a gang of midgets? and a "dangerous" drug dealer.
This mess ends up as being just... nothing really. I do think there are some visual nice scenes, but its not enough. Nope, this one is in the tank!
