John Hughes' commonly overlooked high school Sci-Fi offers plenty of laughs and bags of 80's flair. The movie is unbelievably stupid and lazy, yet its twist on the classic Frankenstein tale still makes for excellent entertainment and its zany comedic style holds a pleasant, cartoonish charm.
'Weird Science' is far from Hughes' best or most memorable movie, but if you're looking for some daft, light-hearted fun, then it's a worthwhile watch. Just about.
