Review of Weiner (2016) by Louise D — 16 Jun 2016
This film is a study in the emotional cruelty of addiction as played out in real life. That term I use cautiously because I'm not convinced that A.W. understands the real consequences of his behavior.
I was impressed by the access afforded the film maker. Weiner gives you a look in depth of this complex character. The film could only be understood fully as a documentary because you just can't make this stuff up.
