Review of Weiner (2016) by David L — 16 Aug 2016
Anthony Weiner exemplifies what it is to be a true New Yorker -- someone with conviction, undaunted by challenges, and will fight to the bitter end, except he's just BAD at crisis management and does the exact opposite of whats expected -- that is both his winning attribute and what led to his downfall.
And this documentary shows how repressed and hopelessly obssessed the American public still is around the issue of sex, so much so that they would completely overlook the issues the man stands for. Only if redemption were that easy.
Very cute ending with the little boy & the wikipedia reference. 'twas a good film.
