Totally fascinating to watch how somebody so intelligent and verbose can fuck himself over SO hard, again and again and again. I don't know if it's just because I'm a naive New Yorker, but myself I can't help but like Anthony Weiner.
I love him arguing with people trying to insult him, I loved his line about how he can't stand bullies. I also love how he manages to call out how stupid the focus on his person life is in the light of the real issues at stake.
That pompousness right there is the charm of Anthony Weiner. AND YET.... dude just literally keeps sticking his dick in it. He seems to almost get aroused by his own popularity or the idea that circumstances are looking up.
It's like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He's so alarmingly stupid when it comes to his dick. Even today as I write this review, several months after this documentary came out, he's back in the news again with another sexting scandal this time involving his son being in the room.
Like, how do you compartmentalize that hard?? This movie sheds a lot of light on the situation but you get the sense Weiner's never actually sat down and talked to himself about it so you never get a true answer.
Also, Huma seems amazing... worth watching this just to see her talk.
