Not only the finest gay romance the big screen has yet encountered, but also featuring the most compelling romantic couple of the past decade. Andrew Haigh's Weekend is an immaculate indie drama, brilliantly acted by both Tom Cullen and Chris New.
It's engaging, intelligent, well-observed and most importantly feels incredibly organic. This is emotionally real cinema.
