Review of Weekend (2011) by Eden L — 19 May 2012
Making a gay romance is actually very tricky. Even though a niche, it seems to have become a tired and cliched plotline. Weekend shines not because of it's plot but because of its actors, who deliver touching and natural performances as two characters who come together and unexpectedly, have a spark of connection that sweeps them both along regardless of whether they want it or not.
A cut above many such films.
