Review of Weekend (2011) by Ronald S — 16 Oct 2011

A great piece of cinema which tells the story of two gay characters and their weekend together and it feels completely real. You don't question any of it at all and it doesn't hold anything back. I applaud the filmmakers for such bold storytelling with such fleshed out characters.

My biggest complaint is that the two characters look too similar. I wish one of the guys cast had at least a few features different from the other. With the two leads as they are now (which, they're both great, by the way), I think it's telling of their personalities and what type of characters they are. Something to read into, perhaps.
