A beautiful story about love and relationship. Yes, this is a movie about gay couple. Yes, a lot of scenes explicitly shows that. But Weekend is beyond that. It's about self acceptance, it's about knowing who you are, it's about embracing who you really are.
Great performances by Tom Cullen and Chris New, brilliant script and direction from Andrew Haigh, and beautiful images by cinematographer Urszula Pontikos. I love the way Haigh and Pontikos captured the raw emotion, the vulnerability of the characters, and present it in a very beautiful way.
Weekend is a must see life lesson.
