Underated War film with a truly inspiring story. Gibson gives one of his best performances, and even Chris Klein and Barry Pepper weren't awful. The battle scenes are among some of the most graphic ever put to film, and it's a pleasant change that the Vietnamese are not portrayed sympathetically.
